Bright & fun cot quilt
This is number 18 in my cot quilts! Seems that I still have a long way to go to get to 45. Anyway this one was well underway when a good colleague was expecting but was flying back to India before the birth. So I was really happy that the quilt I was working on was appropriate for either boy or girl and just needed the hand quilting to do and then was ready to give away.
This particular design is based on a block made up of one rectangle and two squares, which together form a square. I had some lovely bright material I decided to use. I mixed up all the colours I had as I don’t think one should segregate colours based on the sex of the child.
Easy cot quilt – the materials I use
A lot of the fabric I use are from designers Alexander Henry, Moda, Michael Miller and Kokka Japan as I love their bright colours. Sometimes I purchase them at different times of the year but they still mix in – which I love.

Isn’t she the cutest??
I must say I just adore babies, they are all just gorgeous! Look at this one enjoying her easy cot quilt, lying around on it – thanks for sending me the photo mum!
